Not always participation produces tangible results straight away – sometimes it takes much time after the participatory processes have been realized. How not to overlook those results? How to display them to those involved in the processes who expect to see direct result of their engagement? Does our role as participation practitioners come to an end when a project/process is completed and the conclusions and recommendations are passed to the local governing bodies?
This session is not dedicated to evaluation issues. Instead we shall be covering possible (obvious and less obvious) outcomes of participatory processes – how to monitor them and where to look for related information. Together we shall try to complete a list of solutions to the information scarcity and short-lasting effects of participation. We invite especially semi-experienced practitioners as we would like to take advantage of their various experiences. We extend a special welcome to civil servants.
