Participation of the young people – what is done for it to make sense and be attractive?

We encourage you to share ideas on how to provide quality to participation processes among the young people at the school and local community levels.
We are willing to talk about how we, the participation practitioners, through our daily work answer the following important questions with regards to participation among the youth:
– What matters are for the young people to participate? Who makes this decision? The adult, the young themselves? How is the selection of these matters done? Is it influenced by the young people?
– Special participatory methods for the young people: how do we create opportunities, instruments and participatory methods when addressing the needs of the young?
– Regularity of participation of the young people: how to cope with infrequencies, with ‘one-shot participatory parties’?
– How do we support teenage participants? How to prepare the youngsters and the adults – the other side of the dialogue?
– What inspires us, what are the teaching examples? Where and from whom do we learn how to organize participatory processes?
We invite all who collaborate with schools, youth councils and other institutions and businesses that let the young influence the public life in a variety of ways.
