Moderators:

Paweł Jaworski, the ‘Fix Your City’ Foundation,
Marcin Bazylak, the City of Dabrowa Gornicza Office
Time: 1. Day (Thursday, May 28.), hrs.12:45-14:45
Location: II floor, zone H
Format: experience sharing
During the session we will focus on two issues: public dialogue with regards to spatial planning and urban design processes that engage citizens and users.
We will talk about instruments and techniques of engaging citizens and other stakeholders in the process of preparation of legal framework for spatial development of a district and a civil parish (this issue will be covered by the ‘Odblokuj” Association and the Rural Development Foundation representatives), and also how to consult the changes in public areas (this will be covered by the presentation of the ‘Fix Your City” Foundation).
We want to combine the knowledge and experience of the moderators, designers and civil servants who together prepare and carry out such processes. We welcome all interested parties. We will touch upon enhancing the quality of such actions and ensuring involvement of those really influenced by the change in the urban or rural area.
The session will be dedicated to experience sharing. We will start off with short presentations describing such actions in large and middle-sized cities as well as in civil parishes.
