The workshop for practical methods of prototyping
Moderators: Agnieszka Sikorska, engage Warsaw
Time: 2. Day (Friday, June 3.), hrs 10:45-12:15
Format: training session
Description:
Prototyping is an easy solution for evaluating concepts and ideas that arise during work on a variety of issues.
Fast-track prototyping and prototype testing constitute one of the most important elements of project work in the “service design thinking” methodology. It is executed through mutual creation of preliminary versions of solutions that are cooperatively worked out. Prototypes are created promptly and created by the teams working on a particular task.
Many things may fall under the prototyping process – from single spatial elements to solutions for whole areas. Also such things as municipal transport, applications, web sites, and overall shape of particular public services may be included in the scope of prototyping.
The session will be divided into two parts – in the first one we will demonstrate different methods of prototyping and examples of their practical implementation.
The second part will consist of splitting the participants into groups and, under the guidance of the moderators, try out some different techniques of prototyping. The workshop’s objective is to practice different methods so that the participants will be able to implement them in their further work for project management or workshops.
We invite anyone interested in learning how prototyping impacts participation, and can be used in participation processes.
