Description:

Our session will contain a series of speeches and presentations on social exclusion in a broad sense. Different cities, different points of view, different fields of activity – this spectrum will help us find good practices, professional tools and methods used for equalizing opportunities and balanced social development.
There shall be room for questions and reflection. Everyone is invited!

Presentations:

  • Aleksandra Mróz- Wykusz (the chairman of the Social Changes Foundation „Kreatywni” in Gdynia) will be explaining what it means to revitalize a neighborhood where a variety of social problems have accumulated over time and which has been neglected for over 30 years now, making the place practically excluded? How to take others onto the unique journey for the benefit of common good?
  • Marta Siciarek (the chairman of the Immigrant Support Center in Gdansk) will try to convince the participants that integration is a bilateral process. We shall discuss how to build mutual sense of responsibility among immigrants and local communities.
  • Agnieszka Maszkowska (the SocLab Foundation) will explain how to support organizations and professionals in various social processes that aim at the issue of social exclusion.
  • Damian Dudała (committed social worker, civic activist, researcher) shall touch on disability issues and present good practices.
