Description:

Under the Warsaw-based project “Supporting a Civil Dialogue Under a Local Conflict”, carried out by the Center for Problems and Conflicts Resolution in partnership with the City of Warsaw, we wondered how to diagnose particular social situations before beginning the process of citizen involvement. What is a symptom indicating that a particular conflict is in need of resolving? What determines that a case requires the consultation of citizens? Through finding answers to these questions, we managed to come up with a set of tools – including a questionnaire meant to diagnose a situation or conflict and present a potential solution. One of the questionnaires is a test (like one from a magazine) which, after answering a few questions, indicates the right way of conducting dialogue.

One of the tools developed is a questionnaire created for councilmen engaged in participation who would like to carry out consultation in some fields, but have no previous experience with civil involvement.

During the session we would like to present these developed tools, share our experience with them, and talk about their usability. We invite officials, and anyone who is interested, in talking about diagnosing tools and the issues that councilmen face in participation.

Back to main programme.
