Participation of children. Is it feasible? Is it useful?
Moderator: Agnieszka Janik the University of Wroclaw, scholarship holder of “PhDo in Shipyard”
Time: 2. Day (Friday, May 29.), hrs 12:45-14:15
Location: III floor, zone E
Format: discussion session with elements of a training and experience sharing
Participation activities involve citizens to take part in decision making processes over significant problems. What if citizens’ opinions are treated as unimportant without any consideration? What if all the significant decisions are made without their concern? What if citizens are less than 1 meter tall, attend kindergarten and though they speak loudly of their needs, there are only few listening to them? Kids are often deprived of the right to have their say and make decisions.
During the session we will discuss about possibilities, practical solutions and limitations on children participation.
We extend a warm welcome to everybody interested in this subject.
