Moderators:

Zuzanna Naruszewicz, Travelling Culture Animator of the Association of Creative Initiatives „ę”
Time: 2. Day (Friday, May 29.), hrs 12:45-14:15
Location: III floor, zone F
Format: training session
Can a creative activity be helpful in building room for participation? In what way could cultural animation or an artistic event contribute to establishing a dialogue, strengthening social networks or engaging people in the public life? Can cooking together, painting a mural on a bus stop or a theatrical workshop create an opportunity for more democratic communication or encourage conversations on new topics that have been unnoticed so far?
During the session, by answering the above questions, we want to share the examples of good animation, social-artistic and creative practises that became a cornerstone for in-depth participation processes in different parts of Poland.
We would like to inspire the attendees to think about their communities in a creative and unusual manner. We want to show that cultural animation constitutes an open, bottomless box for tools, methods and ideas on how to study people’s needs, encourage talking, provoke a discussion and be responsible for your own community.
