Participation Practitioners\u2019 Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> Participation Practitioners\u2019 Forum<\/strong> is an interactive event for those who have been involved in the realization of various participatory processes \u2013 for local authorities and civic representatives (non-governmental organizations, civic activists). This event provides an opportunity to meet, discuss and exchange ideas between practitioners who not only have encouraged local communities to take part in the decision making processes, but are also willing to share the knowledge and learn from the others. When thinking about participants\u2019 profile the two key criteria come to our mid: practical experience along with eagerness to share knowledge and learn, demonstrate own successes along with failures in the matters of participatory processes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> \u00a0Participation Practitioners\u2019 Forum (May 28-29 2015)<br \/>\n<\/strong>The second edition will be held on 28-29 May, 2015 (Thursday \u2013 Friday) in Warsaw. There will be ca. 180 participants, including those representing countries that have been benefiting from EEA Grants. We count on their active contribution because we are sure that they will offer fresh perspective, share their experience and knowledge, and perhaps &#8211; thanks to the Forum &#8211; they would be able to take advantage of solutions that originated in Poland.<\/p>\n<h2><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/partycypacjaobywatelska.pl\/forum-2015\/programme-2\/\">Participation Practitioners Forum Programme<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organizers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The second edition of the Forum is being organized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/stocznia.org.pl\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\">Unit for Social Innovation and Research \u2018Shipyard\u2019<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.batory.org.pl\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Stefan Batory Foundation<\/a>, with the support of the group of so-called contributors, i.e. people who have agreed to help us prepare the format and programme of this event. In this group there are representatives of several NGOs and local authorities who have been engaging citizens for decision making actively on a regular basis.<br \/>\nThis year\u2019s event is one of the complementary actions that are organized under the Citizens for Democracy Programme, financed by EEA Grants.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participative nature of the event<br \/>\n<\/strong>We opt for a participative nature of the event, therefore we offer the participants the opportunity to put up ideas for sessions (also during the Forum propositions could be submitted), and the whole event is being planned along with cooperation of the mentioned group of contributors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The first edition<\/strong> of the Forum took place in May 2014.
