Day (Friday, May 29.), hrs 10:45-12:15<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Location:<\/span> II floor, zone L<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Format:<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">discussion session<\/span> with elements of experience sharing<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>During the session we will consider various activities that could be undertaken by a public institution (like a cultural centre or a library) in order to open to the voice of the public. What goals do such activities have? Which of them could be one-time projects and which could turn into a long-term change? We should focus on determining the role of participation practitioners (especially those cooperating with NGOs) in such activities. Does it always feel that upon the completion of the project done in cooperation with public institutions we actually have to start over? What factors could determine that participatory processes are embedded in public institutions for good? And, last but not least, could we, the participation practitioners, lead to such long-term changes?<\/p>\n<p>We would like to base the discussion upon the exchange of experiences of the participants (including the moderators) that they have acquired through a joint realization of participatory processes in the public institutions and their opinions on that cooperation.<br \/>\nAll are welcomed to attend the session, especially:<\/p>\n<p>-NGOs representatives who have cooperated with public institutions<br \/>\n-public institution workers who have already engaged or are willing to engage local communities in decision making processes<br \/>\n-activists and non-activists who have been paying attention to such changes in public institutions and\/or would like to have their say in shaping those changes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/partycypacjaobywatelska.pl\/forum-2015\/programme-2\/\">Back to the Participation Practitioners Forum Programme<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Moderators: Marta Ostrowska, the Field of Dialogue Foundation, Maria Perchu\u0107-\u017b\u00f3\u0142towska, the Unit for Social Innovation and Research \u2018Shipyard\u2019 Time:\u00a0 2.
